Flawless

This song is truly a work of art, something I hope one day I can live up to. The vocals have such emotion and are very fitting to the theme. Jillian has an amazing voice, please pass on my regards to her.

Overall, how can this possibly be rated anything less than a 10? Great job, I hope bLiNd has recovered and is doing well now, i'm sure the song was appreciated. I think it was a really nice thing that you did.

I look forward to hearing Reserve Tank!

Morph ball get!

I've given a full review of this song in your second (and much better version) but this is what i've been listening to for a while now, so I felt I should still comment and say well done. I'm pleased you managed to finish this. As it is here, I give it an 8 out of 10. Go check out the second version people!

Speechless

I've waited a long time to hear this get finished, I didn't ever think it was possible for you to sit down and finish a song these days, given how busy you are. But you've given me new hope and faith in you again!

A nice build to start, and then it kicks in at 0:54 some nice instruments to follow. I love the instrument used here, very Metroid. The strings are very nice. My favourite part is at 1:25, I think you could have added more strings and maybe a faint choir too, but I need to realise that this is different from the usual stuff, it's special in it's own way and must be treated as unique.

At 1:53 I feel it should be a little fuller, but the original was very similar to this, so I can't complain. At 2:34 I thought you got lazy and repeated. I was wrong to doubt you, as the piece goes in a different direction at 3:01, and it feels like we're ending now...but again, I am proven wrong...

...4:00 and it all kicks off again, I think at 4:24, you could have made it really special and added higher strings or something, it just seems like we're repeating ourselves. Of course, now comes the fadeout, which is nice, it feels like we're coming down from a high, from this awesome piece of art...from an awesome person, a person I look up to, respect and appreciate.

Thank you for bringing great music to my ears once again. How could I possibly give this anything less than a 10?

SharQueDo responds:

Thanks for your review! I really appreciate it. :) I probably wouldn't even continue making music (let alone finishing them) without you.

"My favourite part is at 1:25, I think you could have added more strings and maybe a faint choir too, ..."

There IS a faint choir at 1:25. ;( :P

Awesome stuff here!

I love this, it's different from your other stuff, it's nice that you have some completed stuff too. I hope you continue making more great music!

SharQueDo rocks my socks

This guy, this wonderful guy is one of the reasons I started making music myself. This particular piece is my all time favourite from him. It sucks that he never managed to finish it. I hope the day comes where he can re-create this and try and finish it, as it would be really awesome. I can only rate it a 9 because it's not finished :(

SharQueDo responds:

Maybe, one day, I will. ;)

A better use of choirs

I think you've done a great job with this one, I enjoyed this in Zero Mission, and I believe they should use it in a future game also. Your version gives a sort of spooky 'on your toes' kind of feeling. The choirs harmonize well in this one also, it's amazing how something so simple can sound so great. Nice job

samusmmx responds:

thanks. :D

Good review / Bad Review

The song is interestesting, but one thing I must point out about your attitude towards asking people not to leave bad reviews...People will have an opinion on everything, good or bad. Asking them not to leave a bad review will not help. If a song is bad and you're told its good, you will continue to create poor music. Listen to opinions, they will help. Of course, you should ignore anyone who cannot give constructive critisism. Keep at it!

Zenad responds:

yes I agree. I don't have a problem with bad reviews, it is the zero votes that enrage me, because they don't really have a reason to, or the decency to explain why.

glad you enjoy the song
