The Metroid franchise has always been one of my most cherished video game franchises. There was no way I could let the 30th anniversary of the franchise pass without paying tribute to it. This wouldn't have been possible without @Step who has been a massive support to my music and has always done everything he can in his power to help make my dreams become a reality. He kindly arranged the music with a little input from me, and this is the result!

My good friend Rozen was responsible for the Latin translation, which is based upon Chozo logbook entries found in Metroid Prime which mention the creature coming from space and landing on the planet, corrupting it and their hope that their "great defender" will come to bring light back to the world.

I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you thought! :D

Very proud to have contributed vocals to Voices of the Sea by @ForgottenDawn for this years A.I.M (Art Inspired Music contest). The above artwork is by an artist called @ErrorCell titled Crossing the Sea. I am surprised at how well this turned out, and the speed in which it was put together! The hard work was already done before I got to it, but hopefully you'll like what I was able to contribute!

Forgotten Dawn also created an ambient mix with just my vocals. The whispered words are Gutta cavat lapidem (non vi sed saepe cadendo) which translate as "A water drop hollows a stone (not by force, but by falling often) which I felt were fitting to a song that focused on the sea so heavily. I was happy to hear he liked them enough to create something in addition to his project, and would like to personally thank him for thinking of me for his project. Please check them both out! I would love to hear your thoughts.

A new track! This time it's a cover of Temmie Village from the hit game Undertale! As soon as I heard it I knew I wanted to cover the track, but to make things interesting I decided to also include the sound of my budgie, Billy! His chirping fit the cover similar to how the original did it, and while there are lots of covers out there from this game, I haven't seen many that include their own pet.

Either way, I had a ton of fun putting this together, and a big thanks to @ForgottenDawn and Samuel Lidström for the mixing and mastering. It's greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: 22/06/2016 - I am sad to say that Billy passed away yesterday. He had been ill for some time, despite looking like he was improving and getting back to normal. His contribution was recorded a couple of months prior to release when he was at his best, and that is how I hope to remember him. Because of this, I will be dedicating this track to his memory.

RIP Billy my awesome little buddy, you'll be missed.

I'm very proud to announce Coming of Age, a tribute to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with the very talented Step on this piece for a very dear friend of mine, and we will be sharing it publicly during the Easter weekend.

Stay tuned!

Since the new year I have been contributing to several different projects, and i'm happy to share one of them with you today! The awesome Ryan Stunkel let me have a small part in his Donkey Kong Country: Aquatic Ambience cover. It is one of the less demanding things I have worked on, but it's nice that it's finally ready to be shared, and it turned out great! Please check it out below and let me know what you thought to it!

I'm currently working on several video game covers from series such as Fire Emblem and The Legend of Zelda. I am also contributing to an original piece with an awesome Newgrounds musician, but that has been postponed for a little while due to other commitments on his part. Because of this, i'm looking for another quick project to sink my teeth into. If anyone is interested, be sure to get in touch!

I don't think i've ever written a blog post on Newgrounds, but I thought I would try and explain a little bit more about why I have decided to come back here and my plans for the future...a diary of my journey I guess?

So, for people who haven't got a clue who I am.. I have headed several fan-arrangement video game albums over the past five years in the "Harmony of" series, and i'm currently working on a pokémon album to mark the 20th anniversary called Harmony of a Champion. But rather than control other musicians and manage a project, I wanted to take a step out of there and focus on myself a little.

I recently bought a RODE NT1-A Condenser Microphone and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface. I have been adding my vocals to a number of projects in and around Newgrounds to develop my skills and learn from the many talented musicians. It makes a nice change to be under their guidance!

January has already been incredibly productive! I have just finished my third project, two of which are from musicians featured on Newgrounds! Two further projects are already being discussed and i'm really excited to just get back to the mic and do my best. I have a long way to go, but I hope that by the end of 2016 I will have being involved in at least twenty different projects! It might sound like a lot, but i'm absolutely determined to push beyond if it necessary!

I hope you will take this journey with me and see how far I take it :)
